Our future is about maintaining the values that have made FOCUS what it is today, whilst adapting to the ever changing world of insurance and financial planning, and continuing to deliver the best possible solutions and service to our clients.
We are extremely pleased to be recognised in specialist areas of advice
After being Highly Commended in 2015, we are delighted to announce that FOCUS has been awarded Retirement Adviser of the Year at the 2016 Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards.
Demonstrating the extra mile that the financial services team go in delivering expert advice and first class service in the world of retirement planning was key to our success – backed up by testimonials from a number of our key clients:
“Focus were particularly thorough in going through all the options available to us. Our pension arrangements are complex as we had many small pots spread over several previous employers schemes. These have all been brought together into an easy to understand portfolio. This, combined with the new software that allowed them to project our requirements against our supply of funds, was impressive and very re-assuring.” Mark Ziles
Richard Eagling, Editor of Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts, said:
“In what has proved to be another challenging year for the financial services industry, it is important to recognise those companies that have consistently stood out by providing the best products and service. The winners at this year’s Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards can rightfully be proud of their achievements and have set the benchmark for the rest of the industry to follow.”
We are continuing to develop our advice and service proposition, particularly in the complex area of retirement planning – this award is a true recognition of our commitment.
Phil Casey, Partner, commented:
“It bears testament to the hard work and dedication we have put in over the years. Retirement can be a very stressful time for many people. At FOCUS we try and combine the latest tools and technology with a genuine desire to help people prepare for retirement, so that they can enjoy some of the fruits of their labour. The fact that a key part of the awards process was the provision of testimonials from clients highlights the success we have with our clients and that is our true reward.
Whilst we always pride ourselves on providing a top class service for our clients, it is always a pleasure when others recognise the hard work and effort we put in and we are genuinely thrilled to win this national award.”
Following on from our success at the 2015 Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards, the FOCUS Mortgage Team submitted an entry for the 2016 Business Moneyfacts Buy to Let Mortgage Broker of the Year Award
The entry required a detailed account of our commitment to providing our clients with a first class service and professional advice, along with evidence of how the mortgage team has solved problems for clients by including case studies. This was then followed up with testimonials from clients, providers and other professional connections to further support our entry.
“There’s a reason why I have continually recommended Nick Walker, and all the team at Focus, because during the last 10 years they have proved themselves time and time again as the best mortgage brokers, anybody could wish to deal with.
Not only do they get the job done, but you are always in the loop about what is going on, and it’s always done with the utmost warmth, sensitivity and professionalism.
There’s a reason they’re called FOCUS, because that’s what you get, 100%!”Guy and Rachel Retallack
The FOCUS mortgage team were delighted to receive the award during the prestigious event, held at the Lancaster London Hotel on Thursday 17 March and hosted by Sue Perkins.
Lee Tillcock, Editor of Business Moneyfacts, said:
“The 16th annual Business Moneyfacts Awards has recognised those providers and brokers involved in the business finance world who have made a firm commitment to excellence that will serve them well during the next year.”
Nick Walker, Partner & Head of the FOCUS Mortgage Department, commented:
“This is a truly remarkable achievement to be recognised ahead of some of the biggest firms in the industry throughout the whole of the UK. The whole team at FOCUS has proved that a truly personal and highly professional service really does mean the difference when it comes to providing what clients are looking for as part of their investment portfolio.”
FOCUS received the Highly Commended (runner-up) Retirement Adviser of the Year Award at the 2015 Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards.
Key members of the FOCUS team stood alongside more than 400 professionals from leading financial institutions and industry bodies at the event, held at the Lancaster London Hotel on Tuesday 15 September 2015, hosted by comedian, Tim Vine.
Consideration for the Award included details of our professional qualifications and ongoing commitment to raising standards, as well as examples of how we get to know and understand our clients and client communications. Once shortlisted, testimonials were required from clients, providers and other professional connections to support our entry in the final judging process. Here’s one great example that helped us achieve the Award:
“Our Company’s pension plans have been in FOCUS’ safe hands for over 20 years. I always feel I get excellent independent advice – which has been proven in our Pension Statements. We are nearing our retirement age and I feel confident that the advice we have been given will stand us in good stead. The customer service we have received over the years has always been a professional and informative one. The staff turnover is minimal and therefore you really get to know your account manager and vice a versa.
I am really pleased FOCUS have been nominated for the Retirement Adviser of the Year Award as I feel they deserve to be recognised for all the hard work they put into their clients’ needs” Jo Davies, Buckle & Davies Construction Ltd
The results drew on both the analytical expertise of the ILP Moneyfacts research team and the opinions of the magazine’s advisory readership, with feedback invited throughout the decision-making process. This gives a true measure of industry-wide excellence and allows the winners to display their trophies with pride, highlighting those who truly excel in their field.
Richard Eagling, editor of Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts, said:
“In an industry that is often unappreciated, the quality of the products and services offered by the winners at this year’s Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards demonstrate that there is much to admire and be positive about.”
Phil Casey, Partner at FOCUS, commented:
“We are absolutely delighted to have received this award. It proves to us that our approach, putting clients at the heart of everything we do, is highly valued and genuinely sought after.”
